WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE


Reports to: Head, Corporate Occupational Health & Safety

Grab’s OHS team supports the organization across multiple geographies and business units. We plan, execute and enforce policies and standards to ensure the safety & security of our people, facilities and other key assets.


We also help influence the overall strategic direction of the company by supporting senior management with timely risk assessments, insights & advice.


This role will report directly to the Head of Occupational Health & Safety. At Grab, wellbeing is viewed as a holistic concept that encompasses the mental, emotional, and physical health of every Grabber. It's an integral part of the company's culture, with a strong commitment to fostering an empowering environment that stimulates productivity, promotes a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen), and ultimately drives growth that aligns with Grab's vision. The Senior Specialist, Wellbeing will be responsible for providing direct support and resources to employees to enhance their overall wellbeing, as well as coordinating various wellbeing activities and programs within the organization. This includes planning and executing events, managing wellbeing resources, and ensuring employees are aware of and engaged with available support. The candidate will also gather feedback through surveys and focus groups to continuously improve wellbeing initiatives.

Get to know the Role:

  • Sets and delivers objectives that significantly improve the wellbeing of individual employees and managing comprehensive wellbeing programmes across the organization. Develops individual and team priorities that align with Grab's overall wellbeing strategy and delivers on these priorities.
  • Effectively communicates wellbeing resources, support, and activities to employees. Establishes a common understanding of the importance of wellbeing and participation in wellbeing activities among employees.
  • Identifies problems and modifies support methods and coordination techniques to better meet employee wellbeing needs and execute wellbeing activities. Independently identifies and solves problems within the team to better deliver on priorities.
  • Leads the wellbeing effort through concentrated knowledge of wellbeing support and coordination of wellbeing activities. Understands how the team fits into the wider People Team function and carries out team responsibilities.


The day-to-day activities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive wellbeing programs that support the mental, emotional, and physical health of employees. This includes supporting the Head in designing new strategies and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Provide direct support and resources to employees to enhance their overall wellbeing. This includes organizing wellbeing events & workshops and providing access to mental health resources.
  • Gather feedback through surveys and focus groups to continuously improve wellbeing initiatives. Use this feedback to identify gaps and modify support methods and coordination techniques to better meet employee wellbeing needs.
  • Effectively communicate wellbeing practices and policies to employees. Establish a common understanding of wellbeing initiatives among employees.
  • Identify and solve problems related to employee wellbeing. Adapt wellbeing programs to better meet employee needs and deliver on priorities.
  • Lead the team through advanced knowledge of wellbeing practices and strategies. Understand how the wellbeing initiatives fits into the wider People Team function and carry out team responsibilities.
  • Work closely with leadership to integrate wellbeing into the company culture and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regularly evaluate the impact of wellbeing programs and make data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

The must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Certification in Mental Health First Aid, Workplace Health Promotion, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role focusing on employee wellbeing, health promotion, or human resources.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating wellbeing programs.
  • Experience in using AI tools for enhancing employee wellbeing would be a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of holistic wellbeing practices and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of holistic wellbeing: Career, Emotional, Purpose, Social, Financial, Physical, and Community.
  • Ability to identify problems and modify support methods and coordination techniques to better meet employee wellbeing needs.
  • Familiarity with employee surveys, focus groups, benchmarking, and internal audit for assessing the current state of employee wellbeing.
  • Ability to evaluate the program’s effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative data.
  • The candidate should also ideally be knowledgeable on the current trends on wellbeing such as current topics, vendors, as well as government initiatives.

  • Proficiency in Google applications, including Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs, is highly advantageous.
