Senior Solutions Engineer - Enterprise Performance Management

Job Description

insightsoftware is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer with deep Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) expertise to join our APAC team.

This is a high-impact, revenue-partnering role within our EPM business unit. You will work directly with Sales to shape opportunities, influence buying decisions, and act as a trusted advisor to Finance and FP&A leaders across the region.

We are looking for someone who combines strong domain authority in planning and consolidation with the commercial instinct to drive deals forward.

What You’ll DoAct as an EPM Authority
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial reporting.

  • Advise CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A leaders on modernizing planning and performance management processes.

  • Position our solutions strategically against legacy and cloud-native alternatives

Drive Revenue Through Pre-Sales Engagement
  • Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities and shape deal strategy.

  • Lead compelling, business-outcome-focused product demonstrations.

  • Translate customer challenges into clear, differentiated solution narratives.

  • Influence technical and executive stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.

Solution Architecture & Design
  • Design scalable EPM solution approaches aligned to client objectives.

  • Map business requirements to product capabilities with commercial awareness.

  • Support RFP responses and proposal development with technical precision.

Market & Product Insight
  • Provide structured feedback from prospect conversations to inform positioning and roadmap direction.

  • Stay current on market trends across xP&A, consolidation, cloud finance transformation, and CFO technology stacks.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong EPM domain experience (planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, performance management)

  • Prior experience as a Solutions Engineer, Presales Consultant, or similar client-facing advisory role

  • Confidence engaging senior finance stakeholders (CFO, Group Controller, Head of FP&A)

  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Commercial mindset with comfort influencing revenue outcomes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Fluent English required; Mandarin proficiency advantageous
