Job Description

Design, build and maintain software for our industry-leading DNA sequencing instruments and /or informatics systems.

Work in a scrum team of developers, testers and domain experts

Drive and lead engineering standards, tooling, processes and best practices

Mentor junior engineers in growing their software engineering craft

Who we’re looking for:

Strong development experience in designing and building APIs and services. Proficient in C#, Java or Python or have a strong willingness and aptitude to learn them.

Good working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker

Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely in discussions and writings

Prefer simple solutions over complex ones

Passionate in raising the engineering capabilities of the team through various means such as mentoring, introducing best practices, etc.

Be curious and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly

Proactive and team-oriented with strong collaboration skills; comfortable working across functions and time zones

Stay technically curious and updated with emerging software development trends and technologies
