The Role: Senior Sales/Sales Specialist (ASEAN)

Senior Sales/Sales Specialist (ASEAN) will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities across Southeast Asia.
Our solutions span across

  • Market Data, Valuations & Analytics
  • Industry and Company Data
  • Capital IQ Solutions

The candidate will be responsible for contributing to our growth strategy into the ASEAN market, with a focus on Thailand, Malaysia Buyside, and segmented NFCs in Singapore. They will carry an independent sales goal for selling all of our complex solutions mentioned above and contributing to the overall revenue generation of the team.

The Impact:

Help grow our market share through new client prospecting and identifying new business opportunities within existing client base in collaboration with Strategy and Relationship Managers. Given the rising demand for data, research, insights, and analytics across the rapidly expanding universe of addressable client segments in the region, you will be able to lead from the front and directly impact the future growth of the business.

Your Skills:

Strong track record working in the Financial Markets and NFC space and developing C-Suite relationships,  exceptional skills in listening to clients, articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner, possess strong Emotional Intelligence and be committed to driving team success.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the revenue growth of  S&P Global Market Intelligence business in South-east Asia.
  • Responsible for selling complex solutions into a defined territory
  • Develop and nurture deep and strong relationships with client organisations, addressing their needs, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the business strategy through a deep understanding of and keeping up to date with key industry news and events involving clients and prospects alike, macro/ market trends / regulations impacting local markets and keeping abreast of our competitive landscape.
  • Develop an exceptional understanding of, and stay current on, the S&P Global Market Intelligence products and solutions and their application to specific job functions
  • Produce accurate sales forecasting and keep an up-to-date pipeline, contacts and meeting notes in SalesForce CRM system

Qualifications/Experience:

  • More than 5 years of direct sales experience in the capital markets
  • Strong network of contacts within South East Asia
  • CFA qualifications or MAppFin is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates drive, initiative, energy and sense of urgency
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment as well as independently
  • Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment
