Overview:
The primary role of the Senior Sales Engineer is to communicate and demonstrate the features, capabilities, and benefits of using the Alteryx platform. The Senior Sales Engineer will partner with our Partner Alliances  Managers & Account Executives on enterprise deals at Alteryx, to guide potential partners/customers to evaluate the Alteryx platform for data blending and advanced analytics. The Sales Engineer at Alteryx is a trusted technical advisor who helps enterprise customers modernize their analytics strategy with AI, automation, and cloud-based data solutions. This role will also provide in-depth technical knowledge and support during evaluation of the product, as well as enablement and training to ensure adoption of the product within an organization, for both customers and partners alike. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data analytics, AI & GenAI, integrating with Cloud Data Platforms, on-premises to cloud migration journeys, and the evolving tech industry.
What you will do:
- Provide pre-sales support for qualified direct and/or Partner-led opportunities for Alteryx One Platform.
 - Provide support and enablement to current and new partners in the region
 - Work as a solutions architect to support scope, design, and development of partner led solutions with a focus on Alteryx One, Cloud Data Platforms and AI
 - Conduct technical working sessions to jointly architect solutions to business problems leveraging the Alteryx Platform with prospective new customers.
 - Develop and deliver impactful technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) for partners and Alteryx customers, including addressing technical objections and demonstrating how Alteryx provides competitive advantages in cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
 - Remain up-to-date on Alteryx solutions and products and maintain familiarity and adherence to all company methods and procedures.
 - Stay ahead of industry trends, including advancements in AI, cloud-native architectures, data governance/security best practices, and how Alteryx integrates with modern cloud data warehouses and AI/GenAI/Agentic AI solutions.
 - Develop strong relationships with key partner technical and sales contacts, acting as a trusted advisor and technical resource.
 - Craft and Deliver technical presentations of offerings to existing and potential partners.
 - Drive partner adoption of Alteryx through technical enablement workshops and training programs.
 - Deeply understand partner solutions and capabilities, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful implementations.
 - Work with sales management to drive sales through optimizing processes, training of team, and development of a culture of collaboration, learning, and success.
 - Work with partners to identify potential synergies and joint solutions.
 
What we look for:
- 7-10 years of pre-sales or consultant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science. This includes at least 3 years of experience working closely with Partners.
 - Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, Python, or similar product or language.
 - Knowledge of and hands-on experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud data warehousing solutions like Google BQ, Snowflake and Databricks. Certifications with all are a plus, but minimal in one is required. Knowledge and experience in AI, GenAI and Agentic AI is also a big plus.
 - Demonstrated ability to handle complex selling situations, involving multiple departments and levels of the organization (ie. Line of business, C-suite, IT, etc.)
 - Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and continuously re-prioritize while maintaining a constant focus on participating in the sales process.
 - Ability to travel regionally as needed (up to 50%)
 - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to a business audience.
 - Experienced in North Asia coverage (Hong Kong)
 - Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
