The role is positioned in the MQA Agent team, focused on endpoint agent testing across multiple operating systems. The product is part of Acronis Cyber Protect — an all-in-one cyber protection platform. The agent runs on customer machines (Windows, Linux, macOS) and interacts with cloud services. The role requires a balance of hands-on manual testing, automated test contribution, AI-powered tooling, and collaboration with R&D and Support teams.
The team actively invests in automation coverage and AI adoption as core parts of the QA workflow — not optional extras.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and analysts to clarify business and technical requirements.
Design test scenarios and test cases for new and existing agent-side functionality — using AI-assisted tools (LLM test case generators, requirement analysis tools) to accelerate test design and close coverage gaps.
Execute functional tests (manual and automated), report defects, and verify fixes.
Contribute to automated test coverage: write, maintain, and debug automated test cases using the team's AQA framework; run autotests locally and via CI/CD pipelines.
Adopt a prompt-first mindset: use AI tools (Claude Code, MCP tools, LLM-based analyzers) as the first step in investigation, setup troubleshooting, log analysis, and test case generation — before resorting to manual terminal debugging.
Investigate issues using logs, system tools, network traces, metrics, and API responses.
Prepare and maintain test environments across Windows / Linux / macOS (including ARM and Intel architectures).
Work with virtual machines, snapshots, system configurations, and environment setup.
Validate client–server interactions driven by cloud UI settings and policies.
Participate in discussions with R&D teams to communicate risks, unexpected behavior, and edge cases.
Contribute to team tooling and workflow improvements — including TestRail automation scripts, test run management tools, and Jira/TestRail coverage analysis.
Share proactive status updates and surface blockers early; maintain visibility across release cycles.
Analyze customer issues in cooperation with Support and engineering teams.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years in QA, Automation, Support, or Software Development roles.
Strong understanding of QA approaches: test design, test execution, defect lifecycle, regression planning.
Confident Windows / Linux (and optionally macOS) user: logs, services/drivers, system tools, process inspection, basic diagnostics.
Basic understanding of networking — enough to understand how client applications communicate with cloud services (DNS, service endpoints, certificates, basic connectivity concepts).
Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS fundamentals and REST API basics.
Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) — ability to write and read scripts used for test automation and tooling.
Ability to run automated tests in a CI/CD framework and interpret test results and failures.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and architecture descriptions.
Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate QA work — including test case generation, log analysis, and requirement review — with responsible handling of data within NDA boundaries.
Clear written and verbal communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate+).
Good to Have:
Experience with LLM-based test case generation tools or prompt engineering for QA workflows (requirement ingestion, gap analysis, coverage review).
Familiarity with TestRail: test suite management, test run automation, coverage scripts.
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) or containers.
Familiarity with client–server or distributed systems.
Experience with CI/CD, Git, and artifact repositories — including safe practices (secret scanning, branch hygiene, code review).
Exposure to cybersecurity concepts: endpoint protection, EDR, URL filtering, behavioral engine, or GenAI security.
Experience analyzing customer logs, crash dumps, or performance data.
Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Interest in growing into a team lead direction — driving visibility, suggesting process improvements, and supporting junior team members.
