Dow Jones Newswires seeks a senior publishing editor to drive coverage of breaking news in Asia and run a team of equities reporters from our APAC hub in Singapore.

At a time when trade tensions between the U.S. and China are rising again and corporate Japan emerges as a global hotspot for deals, Newswires is seeking an experienced editor to handle the biggest news as it breaks. The editor will commission stories, push for scoops, and run a team of enterprising reporters to deliver fast, accurate and insightful coverage for Newswires. The editor will shepherd news coverage to ensure it meets the needs of a broad audience, ranging from professional investors to readers of wsj.com.

An important part of the job is to lead reporters in securing access to regional newsmakers and bring to life trends that are shaping the news agenda.

Accuracy, speed, excellent news judgment and a close eye for detail are essential. Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume news environment where teamwork and communication skills will be hugely important.

  • Commission and edit stories for a global audience that can run across all news platforms, including wsj.com.
  • Help to coordinate daily news coverage of corporate and economic events.
