About the Job:
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will manage complex projects within your assigned region to completion, from initiation through delivery to closure. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams and establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria, as well as define, monitor, and review all project economics including timeline, budget and risks. As an experienced Project Manager, with full understanding of industry standard project management practices you serve with the ability to interact with Customer and internal stakeholders at all levels to deliver successful projects with great CE.
What you will do:
Integrate and use specific industry and technical delivery methodologies, e.g. project management methodologies based on PMI, Red Hat Services project management methodology, systems and software development, agile methodologies such as scrum
Drive project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for Red Hat Services projects with minimal direction
Manage multiple projects requirements, scope, timelines, regular customer cadence, while achieving utilisation.
Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria; develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes in operational plans
Proactively manage project requirements and scope/change request related to the project.
Develop and effectively present project related content to various stakeholders, ensuring their needs are considered and communicated.
Plan, schedule, monitor and report project activities effectively.
Identify project challenges and drive risk management activities and mitigation plans.
Work closely with Resource Management Office to staff projects with the relevant consultants and architects, considering required skills and level of experience
Assist in training the project team on the application of appropriate procedures and processes; (coach and mentor lower level project managers)
Foster collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental and cross-functional teams.
Work with sales/pre-sales teams on project scope, estimates, and schedules; contribute to the project estimation and review process
Identify and enable continuous improvements. Be both flexible and adaptable to changing demands based on the needs of the business.
What you will bring:
10+ years of experience in a project management role in IT-based projects
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Knowledge of specific project management and technical delivery methodologies used in the IT industry
Solid interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills; business insight
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and project information concisely to diverse audiences.
Capacity to identify, analyse, and resolve risks and roadblocks that arise during project execution.
Solid organisational skills including attention to details and handling of multiple project concurrently
Ability to work in a team as well as on your own; ability to motivate project team and individual contributors and mediate conflicts
Technical knowledge and experience in Red Hat product portfolio will be an advantage
Excellent Customer facing and internal communication skills
Project management certification
