Job Description

 

  • Utilize company cornerstone systems to manage and represent cost data formats necessary for project control and financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and earned value metrics to identify key project issues, prepare revised cost forecasts, and assess progress trends and cost impacts.
  • Evaluate manpower, labor hours, and labor costs against budget limitations; prepare variance analysis and expenditure forecasts to identify critical funding points.
  • Review and track purchase order, subcontract commitments, and contractor invoices to ensure subcontractor funding aligns with work authorization and expenditures.
  • Establish and maintain cost/schedule baselines using project drawings and specifications; apply critical path analysis and cost/schedule integration concepts.
  • Manage scope control and change order tracking to ensure project management maintains awareness of detailed change status and financial implications.
  • Conduct performance measurement, cost trending, and prepare various levels of project reporting and cost review meeting presentations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in project controls in the construction industry
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision, including using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design, construction and procurement practices.
