Product Strategy & Assortment Planning & Development
- Develop mid to LRP Korea product strategy & assortment architecture, ensuring alignment with the brand vision, financial targets and consumer experience goals across product categories
- Collaborate with Global Merchandising Teams & Regional Merchandising to communicate local strategies, priorities & identify product opportunities, Korea exclusives, special projects and collaborations to address the Korea market trends & demands,
- Present seasonal merchandising/product strategy during line opening to internal cross-functional teams.
- Provide input during seasonal line reviews, highlighting current selling trends.
Seasonal Open to Buy (OTB) Management
- Develop and maintain seasonal OTB plans including sales, gross margin, receipts, inventory turn, and weeks-on-hand (W-O-H) targets at departmental/class level across multiple time horizons.
- lead with local teams to drive seasonal sell-through and ensure never-of-out stock for evergreen products with the regional inventory management team, to ensure effective communication and alignment to maximize & balance sales & inventory opportunities.
- Build the Open-to-Buy by store and category to support the Omni channel (Retail/ Outlet/ E-commerce) business in Korea, linking targets to channel strategy
Regional Market Analysis
- Knowledge of latest customer retail trends, market landscape & competitive environments to drive product & pricing strategies to maximize growth potential.
- Develop and maintain all store level door profile analysis strategies ensuring a balanced assortment and product offerings
- Create assortments tailored to specific customer profile, considering store door profiles, visual merchandising space capacity, and SKU productivity.
- Utilize POS data analysis to understand sell through and identify pre-season planning opportunities and in season SKU productivity optimization.
Collaboration with Cross Functional Teams
- Partner with retail management team to gather product feedback from stores and incorporate into assortment planning and decision-making processes.
- Connect closely with finance (FP&A) to ensure top line sales targets are in line with product assortment strategies.
- Partner with key cross functional teams (RM/VM/Logistics/RT&D/RO/Marketing/VM) to ensure successful product launch & market activations

- 12+ years' experience in Retail or Wholesale with proven track record of buying/merchandising success for multinational brand/company
- Strong leadership skills to lead, guide and develop team of talents

- Strong analytical skills & strategic thinking to identify opportunities and recommend strategies
