The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for leading new product transfer, production start‑up, and process re‑engineering initiatives to enable robust, scalable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
This position reports to the Manager, Applied Engineering and is part of the Applied Engineering team, located in Singapore, and will be an on‑site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead new product transfer and industrialization activities, including process definition, commissioning, qualification, and ramp‑up to mass production.
- Review product designs for manufacturability, working closely with cross‑functional R&D teams to ensure alignment with production capabilities and cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including process parameters, jigs, fixtures, and workstation layouts, applying Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Establish and maintain standard work, process documentation, and training materials to enable consistent execution and knowledge transfer within production teams.
- Own manufacturing master data accuracy, including Bills of Materials (BOM), routings, and in‑house production times within SAP to support operational excellence and planning.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Multiple years of professional experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering, with hands‑on involvement in at least two full product development or industrialization cycles.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical systems, including exposure to optical or high‑precision mechanisms.
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD and 3D modeling tools, preferably Creo, to support design reviews and manufacturing readiness.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing concepts, including cell design, workstation layout, and process flow optimization.
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, such as Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial, Production, or Mechanical Engineering.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Manufacturing environments supporting high‑mix, high‑precision products
- Cross‑site or global collaboration with R&D, sourcing, or production teams
