About the Role:

As the Senior People Business Partner in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our People initiatives from the ground up. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of the People function, ensuring adherence to local labor laws, building strong partnerships with leaders in the Singapore office, and providing exceptional support to our employees.

Who You Are:
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably with a focus on startup or high-growth SaaS companies in an international environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Singaporean labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in working as a part of a global team
  • Proven ability to handle employee relations issues with empathy and professionalism
  • Demonstrated high level of trust, confidentiality, and sound judgment
  • Flexibility in working hours due to time zones, and ability to adjust priorities according to the changing needs of a hyper-growth company
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure
  • Ability to act with a sense of urgency and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
  • Ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to be present in the office at least 3 days a week
What You’ll Do: 
  • Build strong partnerships with leaders to develop talent, drive change, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Coach and influence managers on performance management, leadership development, and talent planning to strengthen team capability and engagement.
  • Partner with global and local leaders to assess engagement drivers, shape culture, and design targeted actions that improve morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Act as a crucial communication link with ability to strategically escalate and drive resolution on significant Singapore issues and matters with both senior People Team leadership and senior leaders across our global locations.
  • Champion Singapore’s cultural and regulatory context within global initiatives, ensuring local relevance and compliance while driving alignment with global people priorities.
  • Partner with global COEs to localize and implement people programs (e.g., compensation, benefits enrollment, engagement, and development), ensuring alignment with business priorities and local regulations.
  • Advise leaders on policy interpretation and drive change management efforts to embed people programs effectively across the business.
  • Use people data and analytics to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and influence strategic decisions around talent, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Act as subject matter expert and respond to employee inquiries, escalating to more senior People team members or external HR/Legal Counsel when needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of personnel data in Workday, in partnership with our People Operations team.
  • Assist in creating a great local company culture through office and outside events in partnership with the Workplace, Community & Experience team.
  • Coordinate ad-hoc office operations as needed with the support of the Workplace, Community and Experience team.
