What this job can offer you
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Payroll Project Senior Manager to join our Payroll PMO team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in regional/global payroll operations, including payroll, benefits and services. Proven track record in identifying payroll compliance risks and implementing controls.
What you bring
- Extensive experience within a senior payroll role.
- Deep understanding of Payroll Operations, Benefits, Services and Process Improvements
- Extensive experience of implementing and maintaining global governance of payroll controls
- Demonstrated capability in handling complex, compliance-heavy tasks, leveraging analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
- Experience in making recommendations for process improvements and ensuring that they are implemented.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively and drive results in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that ensures the individual can engage effectively with Senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in data manipulation (eg sql, excel, sheets)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
- You understand the need and ideal to work largely asynchronously.
- It's not required to have experience working remotely, but it is considered a plus.
- You write and speak fluent English.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Senior Payroll Project Manager expert to drive PMO function
- Work with existing verticals, domains and teams to further improve cross-functional execution and deliveries
- Leaning into efficiency, automation and integration from the start of a project
- Leaning into Remote's values when making strategic decisions
- Coordinate with remote internal teams to facilitate testing and integration of recommendations.
- Build and maintain the future of payroll with Remote product, engineer and operations teams.
- Provide support and training on Project Management to the Payroll Team.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Maintain frequent communication with stakeholders
- Work closely with remote teams, including Product, Engineering, Tax and Accounting to develop Payroll solutions through proprietary software.
- Identify solutions to challenges, inconsistencies, and obstacles by collaborating with necessary stakeholders.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $44,200 USD to $99,450 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
