JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and reporting of plant performance in terms of process performance and energy consumption.
  • Compile, maintain and analyze plant operation data and direct the operations team to perform necessary measures to ensure plant operations are optimal in meeting key performance targets.
  • Propose, carry out and maintain process optimization work to improve plant performance in the production process, water quality and cost control, including but not limited to power and chemical consumption.
  • Assist the Operations Manager on overseeing the day-to-day operation matters of the plant to meet plant key performance targets such as dispatch quantity, water quality, energy consumption, HSE requirements and budget requirements.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with the preparation of monthly progress reports and key updates to various stakeholders.
  • Assist the Operations Manager on manpower planning and administration to meet the operational needs of the plant.
  • Secondary Point of Contact with off-taker and Owner on plant operation matters.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the administration of the relevant systems to ensure the plant complies with the requirements under the Energy Conservation Act (ECA).
  • Assume the role of a Shift Engineer in plant operations when necessary.
  • Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required by immediate supervisor/ the head of department from time to time.

Requirements *:

  • Holds a Polytechnic Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or other related engineering fields
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of operation experience, preferably in Water treatment plant
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings (ACAD) & P&ID, computer literate and familiar with Microsoft programs and other engineering software.
  • Knowledge or experience in SCADA / PLC control operations will be an added advantage
  • Command good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Possess good leadership and communication skills.
  • Willing to support outside of regular working hours to support plant operational needs.
  • Qualification as a Singapore Certified Energy Manager or experience in energy management will be an added advantage.
