Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and performance across enterprise-level networks.

You will play a key role in troubleshooting, optimization, and security enforcement while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and optimize complex LAN, WAN networks across multiple locations.

  • Define network standard and review configuration baselines to meet availability and security requirement.

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

  • Implement and fine-tune routing protocols and QoS policies to enhance network performance and resilience.

  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and risk analysis to ensure scalability and business continuity.

  • Automate network operations using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or scripting tools.

  • Lead incident response efforts for network outages, security breaches, and performance degradations.

  • Document network configurations and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Mentor and train junior network engineers to improve team capabilities.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • 7+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on enterprise or service provider networks.

    • Work experience in a financial institution is a key advantage.

    • Expertise in routing, switching, security, and wireless network technologies.

    • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, HCIP, HCIE or equivalent preferred.

    • Good understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, LISP.

    • Use of network monitoring tools including SNMP, NetFlow, Extrahop, SolarWinds.

    • Proficiency in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, or PowerShell).

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

    • Strong documentation and communication skills with the ability to convey complex network concepts to stakeholders.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in data centre networking, VXLAN EVPN and SDN solutions.

    • Proficient with data centre products such as Cisco NDFC and Huawei NCE Fabric.

    Side note:

    • This role requires 100% Work-in-office, based in East/ North East.

    • This job involves maintaining our banking network and requires the incumbent to be available outside of regular working hours during incidents.
