A senior R&D leader that drives the Gum and Candy (G&C) innovation strategy across the AMEA (specifically in APAC) region. As a key member of our team, you will build a consumer-centric innovation pipeline, spearhead front-end fuzzy innovation work, and ensure breakthrough products and technology sufficiency. Ideally you will be leveraging your expertise in Gum & Candy Confectionery technology, commercial acumen, and market dynamics in China & APAC to drive business growth and results.
How you will contribute
You will work with a cross-functional partner to define, initiate, and lead teams to successfully deliver business goals using technical rigor and best practices while effectively prioritizing workloads. Influencing skills are important in this role because you will use them to partner with business stakeholders to build robust innovation sufficiency funnels, ensuring clear communication and understanding to allow for effective cross-functional decision making. You will also create and maintain accurate technical roadmaps required to fuel the consumer-led innovation funnel. As an innovation technical and/or people leader, you demonstrate your own high levels of technical rigor and expertise.

This position is for a Senior Manager in Innovation for the R&D G&C Team based in Singapore.
Gum and Candy Category plays a very important role and as a Senior R&D Innovation leader in this category, you will play a critical role in:

  • Strong proficiency in working in front-end innovation

  • Expertise in Gum format, technology & strong understanding of the candy format
  • Strong knowledge and know-how in the confectionary industry

Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering or related field, specialised Innovation Management would be an advantage
Job specific requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience
  • >5 years of experience in managing others
  • >10 years of experience in interfacing with cross functional parties (internal and/or external)
  • Fluent English - both verbal and written is mandatory,


Travel requirements:
Need to be flexible and for occasional travel overseas.
Work schedule:
Full time. This role will need to connect with Global Platform/Commercial teams and will require some evening meetings.
No Relocation support available, however for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
