JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibilities:

As the Senior Manager, Project Management, you will support the delivery of large Data Centre Projects from their inception to completion, or, depending on your experience, lead our small to medium scale projects. Initially, your team will work closely with “Technical Solutions” to manage the development of the Design, and, with “Procurement” for the LLE & Tendering of Contracts. You will then support the SPM or lead your team in overseeing the construction and commissioning of the project. Working closely with the Authorities, Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers and seamlessly working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed Safely, to the right Quality, On Time and within Budget. Once the project is commissioned, you will support the SPM or lead the handover of the project to our Operations Teams and end users/tenants.

Note that you will be based in Singapore but may be required to travel overseas for work if you are tasked to assist on overseas projects.

Site Management:
  • Assist in planning, executing, and project close-out and handover according to the deadlines and within budget.
  • Coordinate with other project team members and support completion of all interdisciplinary tasks to the required standard.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
Project Coordination:
  • Attend and contribute to Design, Progress, Safety, Cost, and Risk Management meetings.
  • Track progress for each area of work and verify completed works against monthly invoices.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective project execution.
  • Help process payments to contractors and consultants in a timely manner
Quality control:
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Review shop drawings and ensuring alignment with approved designs.
  • Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans.
  • Monitor and report on project risks and issues and assist in resolving them.
Progress Tracking:
  • Gather project status from each Project Management Discipline lead at site and prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, and project plans.
  • Provide regular updates to the stakeholders on project status.
  • Managing relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Supporting the Project Lead by monitoring site works against Master Schedule, Milestones and Critical Path
Local compliance:
  • Support the Project Engineer with all local authority approvals and compliance with relevant local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Assist the Project Team in project closeout activities, including final documentation, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, and training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Project Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Project Management of mission critical facilities
  • Experience in managing Data Centre Greenfield Construction is ideal but experience in the construction of pharma/ microelectronics projects also highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Clear understanding of commercial & financial processes (Invoicing, approvals etc)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Very good Administration skills
  • Be thorough and pay attention to detail
  • Able to work well with others and have good customer service skills
  • Able to use your initiative, flexible and open to change
  • Strong time management & work well under pressure
