About the Role

As Senior Manager, Procurement Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and integrated procurement technology solutions to support global procurement operations. This role focuses on aligning procurement platforms with business objectives, optimizing system architecture, and driving digital transformation initiatives. The position requires deep expertise in procurement technologies, ERP systems, and process automation to enhance procurement efficiency, compliance, and value delivery.  In this role, you will make your mark on Telenor’s journey of digital transformation.

Main Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & System Design

  • Define and implement the architecture for global procurement solutions, ensuring scalability, integration, and security.
  • Design end-to-end procurement system landscapes, including e-sourcing, procure-to-pay (P2P), contract lifecycle management (CLM), and supplier management platforms.
  • Ensure procurement technologies align with enterprise IT architecture and business objectives.

Procurement Technology Implementation & Optimization

  • Lead the selection, deployment, and optimization of procurement technologies across S2C, P2P, Supplier, Spend analytic domains.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, including AI-driven analytics, robotic process automation (RPA), and blockchain for procurement.
  • Develop automation strategies to streamline sourcing, supplier management, and procurement workflows.

System Integration & Data Management

  • Ensure seamless integration between procurement platforms and enterprise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.).
  • Design data architecture and reporting frameworks to enhance procurement analytics, spend visibility, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to enable real-time data synchronization and improve procurement data governance.

Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Define and implement best practices in procurement process automation, standardization, and governance.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Support procurement operations teams in resolving system-related issues and process inefficiencies.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Management

  • Keep user experience excellence at the core of any implementation
  • Work closely with procurement, IT, finance, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with procurement strategy.
  • Lead training and adoption initiatives to maximize user engagement and system utilization.
  • Provide technical guidance to procurement teams on emerging technologies and system enhancements.

Profile

We seek a passionate person in exploring various technology and knowledge has hands-on experience on procurement tools, processes and operations, driving requirement analysis, selection process, architecture set-up and design.  Seamless integration and interoperability across platforms is the key success criteria in close co-ordination with process, operations, IT and master data teams.  It is a key role in shaping procurement technology strategy for Telenor organization.   The following characteristics will be critical to succeed in the role:

  • A promoter of data science and Artificial Intelligence that can bring AI into procurement landscape.
  • Passionate about technology and staying up to date on current technology landscape and able to engage in technical discussion.
  • Lead impactful digital transformation initiatives in procurement operations.
  • Deep understanding of global procurement processes, best practices, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with leading procurement technologies (Coupa, Oracle and SAP)
  • Strong expertise in Agile, PMP or similar project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in procurement analytics, reporting, and performance measurement tools.
  • Good understanding of master data and data structures
  • A problem solver capable of dissecting a complicated problem and evaluating it systematically.
  • A person with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Able to lead change, drive innovation, and foster collaboration in a complex, global organization

Qualification and Skills Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management (with a strong focus on technology), Business Administration (MBA) with IT/Procurement specialization or a related field.
  • Certified Cloud & Enterprise Architect
  • TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) (preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement solution architecture, ERP implementation, or procurement technology consulting (those with lesser experience will be considered for Manager position)
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement technologies: Coupa, Oracle, SAP, Sievo, Monday.com and similar platforms.
  • Expertise in API management, cloud platforms, data analytics, and automation tools (RPA, AI, ML)
  • Familiarity with procurement frameworks such as Source-to-Pay (S2P), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
  • Certified in Agile, PMP or similar in project management
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing procurement systems in a global, matrixed environment
  • Proven leadership experience in managing procurement functions, teams, and transformation initiatives
  • Working in a matrix set-up
  • Working in an international corporate with both European and Asian footprint
