The Role
As Senior Manager, Government Relations, you’ll play a key role in shaping SEEK’s engagement with governments across Asia. You’ll work on public policy issues that matter to SEEK’s business, our customers and the broader labour market.
This is a newly created role within SEEK’s growing Government Relations and Economics (GR&E) function in Asia. Reporting to the Head of Government Relations and Economics (who reports to the CFO), you’ll lead SEEK’s government engagement and policy advocacy across Asian markets, with a primary focus on Malaysia and Singapore, and some engagement in Indonesia.
Our Country Managing Directors and senior leaders remain SEEK’s primary representatives to government. Your role is to strengthen and support these relationships by providing clear policy insights, advocacy frameworks and practical support to help leaders engage effectively on public policy.
You’ll work closely with the Economics team, Corporate Communications, and senior leaders across Commercial, Product and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver SEEK’s government relations and policy advocacy strategy across Asia
- Support in‑market leaders with policy briefings, engagement preparation, correspondence and follow‑up
- Maintain an AI‑enabled, human‑assured scan of policy and regulatory developments across markets
- Build and manage priority stakeholder engagement plans using SEEK’s Government Relationship Management (GRM) platform
- Establish and coordinate SEEK’s Government Relations Community of Practice across Asia
- Partner closely with internal teams including Economics, Communications, Investor Relations, Risk, Commercial, Strategy, Product and AI Platform Services
- Prepare high‑quality written materials including ministerial briefs, submissions, policy papers and executive updates
- Leverage Australian Government relationships and relevant industry groups to support SEEK’s policy agenda
- Contribute to broader government relations, policy and research activities as needed
The Team
SEEK’s Government Relations function focuses on policy areas where SEEK can add real value, supporting evidence‑based policy and outcomes aligned to our purpose and strategy.
The team works closely with SEEK’s Economics function, using labour market data and insights to build credibility and trusted relationships with governments and stakeholders.
The GR&E function is a small, specialist team. This role does not have direct reports and works in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment.
QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in public policy, government administration, politics, communications, international affairs or a related field
- Senior‑level experience in government relations in Singapore and/or Malaysia, ideally in a fast‑moving environment
- Strong understanding of how government works in these markets, with established networks and trusted relationships
- Experience managing complex public policy issues and delivering effective advocacy strategies
- Confidence supporting senior leaders to engage on policy and regulatory matters
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Comfort working with data and AI‑enabled insights to inform policy discussions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively
