Role Summary and Impact

The Senior Manager, Global Orchestration for the SK-II account is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the strategic alignment, seamless synchronization, and flawless execution of SK-II's global brand initiatives across all markets. This role acts as the central orchestrator, ensuring consistent messaging, optimizing operational efficiency through standardized processes and innovative tools like WPP Open, and fostering continuous learning. By leveraging deep market intelligence, cultivating strong client relationships, and providing strategic counsel, the incumbent will directly impact SK-II's global growth trajectory, market share expansion, and premium brand consistency, while also identifying new revenue streams and solidifying WPP Media's position as a trusted strategic partner.


Skills and Experience

What you will do:

1. Global Campaign Synergy & Alignment:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for global campaign orchestration, ensuring consistent in execution, messaging and campaign tracking (KBD) across all markets.
  • Drive the adoption of standardized ways of working, processes, and reporting frameworks across markets to eliminate inefficiencies and foster alignment.
  • Synthesize learnings into a global POV identifying what to start, scale, or stop to drive continuous improvement and performance uplift.

 2. Market Intelligence & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Establish and maintain effective forums and communication channels to gather real-time market insights, ongoing initiatives, and best practices.
  • Proactively share global perspectives (Global POV) and critical learnings from individual markets (outside-in learning) to inspire and inform local strategies.
  • Lead the development of Global whitepapers/POVs to articulate a cohesive global narrative for brands, while also overseeing and synthesizing Market POVs.
  • Deep dive into competitor initiatives to identify successful strategies and emerging trends that can inspire innovation for brand and agency teams.

 3. Strategic Innovation & Performance Optimization:

  • Identify and evaluate new tools, platforms, and capabilities by regularly engaging with vendors and partners, assessing their potential to drive improved business performance and efficiency.
  • Work directly with Strategy and Planning teams to develop robust test-and-learn frameworks for new experiments, alpha/beta tests, and innovative solutions.
  • Identify growth opportunities for individual markets and the global business based on category and consumer-back analysis.

4. Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong, trusted relationships with agency market teams, global client stakeholders, and internal WPP Media leadership.
  • Act as a valued resource, proactively offering solutions and demonstrating the tangible benefits of orchestration efforts to remove any perception of added workload.
  • Confidently engage with clients, providing strategic counsel and influencing their strategies across markets with a global perspective.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the brand and consumer personas to facilitate constructive and impactful client conversations.

 5. Continuous Improvement & Development:

  • Maintain a forum for continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the global team, ensuring everyone is up to date with digital advancements and best practices.
  • Continuously develop and apply commercial acumen to identify and build new revenue streams and opportunities for WPP Media.
  • Embrace a Global Leadership Team mindset, approaching all tasks with a strategic, enterprise-wide perspective rather than a siloed one.
  • Set expectations for and deliver on multiple complex projects concurrently, demonstrating strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Guide execution, ad-ops, and reporting teams to implement aligned KPIs, benchmarks, QA standards, and test plans with operational excellence.

Measures of Success:

In 3 Months: 

  • Built Strong Relationships: Established foundational rapport with key agency market teams and client contacts.
  • Active Market Engagement: Consistently attended market drumbeats, contributing a global POV, and actively sharing learnings from other markets.
  • Initiated Global Thought Leadership: Begun leading Global whitepapers/POVs and overseeing market contributions to showcase a unified brand narrative.
  • Explored Innovation: Regularly engaged with vendors/partners to identify and present new tools and capabilities relevant to business performance.
  • Contributed to Test & Learn: Worked directly with Strategy/Planning teams to determine initial test-and-learn frameworks for new experiments.
  • Deepened Brand Understanding: Gained a solid understanding of the brand, client processes, and consumer personas, enabling more constructive client conversations.
  • Competitive Awareness: Deep dived into competitor initiatives, identifying working factors to inspire brand and agency strategies.
  • Identified Early Growth Signals: Pinpointed initial growth opportunities for individual markets and global initiatives based on early category/consumer analysis.

 

In 6 Months: 

  • Solidified Client Understanding: Developed a deep comprehension of client processes, briefs, and strategic objectives.
  • WPP Open Integration: Gained a deep understanding of WPP Open capabilities and identified concrete opportunities to integrate them into current operating models, demonstrating clear value.
  • WPP – choreograph Offering: Build a strong understanding of Choreograph’s global tools and partner ecosystem and deploy the most relevant solutions to support campaign orchestration and performance goals.
  • Established Client Trust: Built a strong, trusted relationship with the global client, positioning yourself as a reliable and valuable partner.
  • Quantifiable Impact: Started to demonstrate progress against goals, showing initial tangible contributions to addressing identified gaps.

In 9 Months: 

  • Go-To Expert Recognition: Recognized as the primary go-to expert for the client on all global POV matters and orchestration initiatives.
  • Commercial Acumen Applied: Developed and actively applied commercial acumen, identifying and building new, viable revenue streams for WPP Media.
  • Influential Leadership: Positively influenced client strategies across multiple markets, initiated new workstreams, and successfully implemented new tools and capabilities that drive efficiency and growth.
  • Standardization Champion: Made demonstrable progress in standardizing ways of working across markets, leading to measurable improvements in efficiency and consistency (e.g., simplified reporting processes).  

 

What you will need:  

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in media planning, strategy, or account management, with a significant focus on global or multi-market campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide meaningful insights and analysis from complex data.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms
  • Good understanding of AI ecosystem (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, NotebookLM) and usage in media and consumer insights and strategy building
  • Proficiency in setting and delivering on multiple projects concurrently, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong command of the English language.
  • Proven ability to confidently speak to and present to clients (including c-suite), influencing their strategies and building rapport.
  • Demonstrated capability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and international markets.
  • Ability to foster a forum for continuous learning and knowledge sharing within a global team.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify new revenue streams.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong drive to identify and address gaps and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to think strategically with a global perspective, moving beyond day-to-day tasks to identify overarching opportunities and challenges.
  • Understanding of the nuances between decision-making authority and influencing without direct authority, and skilled in navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
