What You’ll Do:
The Field Engineering organization at CoreWeave is dedicated to ensuring every customer running AI workloads at scale has a seamless, reliable, and high-performance experience. This team supports the infrastructure that powers the AI revolution—working across data centers, hardware systems, and customer workloads to maintain the integrity of our cloud platform. Field Engineering aligns closely with internal and customer engineering teams, offering valuable insights from the field and the chance to shape the CoreWeave product roadmap and development.
About the role:
We are on the hunt for an exceptional Senior Manager, Specialist Field Engineering to lead a regional team of subject matter experts across Kubernetes, Storage, High-Performance Computing, Networking, Security, and Compute Infrastructure. Together, this team will design and deliver next-generation environments that power the world's most demanding workloads.
This role works closely with leaders across Specialist Field Engineering, Technical Support Engineering, Sales, and Product Engineering. If you are passionate about advanced infrastructure and have a proven ability to hire, mentor, and inspire technical talent—then we'd love to hear from you!
In this role, you will:
- Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing Specialist Field Engineering team with deep expertise across Kubernetes, Storage, High-Performance Computing, Networking, Security, and Compute Infrastructure, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Define and execute the regional technical go-to-market strategy, partnering with Sales, Product Engineering, and Marketing to position CoreWeave as the market leader in performance, flexibility, and scalability.
- Act as executive sponsor for the region's most strategic and technically complex accounts, guiding customers from initial concept through large-scale architectures, proofs of concept, and production deployments. Your specialists bring deep technical firepower alongside the account team—the Account Executive or Account Manager and the Account Solutions Architect—who stay in the thread end to end.
- Partner closely with customers to understand complex AI and infrastructure requirements and translate them into scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Align capacity management, data center operations, and fleet operations to support the unique demands of AI and high-performance workloads.
- Establish key performance indicators, streamline workflows, and coordinate with Technical Support Engineering to ensure measurable outcomes, rapid issue resolution, and an exceptional customer experience.
- Drive continuous improvement by channeling field feedback—alongside your Specialist Field Engineers and Product Engineering—into product enhancements, roadmap priorities, and operational excellence in a high-growth environment.
Who You Are:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years in solutions architecture, field engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud services, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record designing, deploying, and optimizing large-scale environments spanning cloud native technologies
- Familiarity with GPU-based computing and distributed workloads is a strong plus
- Expertise in infrastructure frameworks, workload orchestration, performance tuning, and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, networking technologies, security practices, and enterprise storage systems
- Hands-on familiarity with distributed cloud-native and AI/ML workloads on GPU-based computing at scale
- Exceptional ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, building an environment of trust and excellence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to frame complex technical insights for diverse stakeholders
- Proven success in cross-functional collaboration, balancing multiple priorities in a hyper-growth environment
- Willing to travel up to 30% to engage with customers, attend industry events, and nurture cross-functional collaboration
