Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

In building and scaling our business across the Rest of Asia, we've established partnerships with leading mobile, broadband, and PayTV operators in Taiwan and Hong Kong (e.g. CHT Group, Taiwan Mobile, PCCW/CSL), as well as with the largest Mainland China consumer electronics manufacturers (e.g. Hisense, TCL, Xiaomi, Oppo) that ship smart TVs and mobile devices across the region and globally.

These partnerships help deliver Netflix in a consumer-friendly way - from bundling Netflix into a mobile or broadband plan, to prominent, durable placement on smart TVs and mobile devices - and have been essential to accelerating our global growth.

Chinese CE OEMs in particular are now among the largest and fastest-growing players in the global TV ecosystem, making them ever more strategic partners for Netflix.

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Business Development to grow our commercial partnerships with Taiwan/Hong Kong operators and Mainland China CE/mobile partners - building the strategic roadmap for these relationships, support structuring and commercial alignments in deals, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launch and ongoing performance of these partnerships.

The role will report to the Director, Business Development - Rest of Asia, and will be based in Taipei or Singapore.

Responsibilities:

●You will forge and manage commercial partnerships with mobile, broadband, and PayTV operators in Taiwan and Hong Kong, building new bundles and promotions and deepening existing relationships to streamline Netflix membership and viewing in an efficient manner.

●You will lead commercial relationships with Mainland China consumer electronics and mobile manufacturers, and provide support in structuring and commercial alignments in device placement, promotional, and distribution agreements that maximize discovery, reach, and viewing for current and prospective members.

●You will develop and execute the partnership strategy and roadmap for this territory, identifying new bundling, distribution, and promotional opportunities, and prioritizing them based on business impact.

●You will own the deal lifecycle end-to-end - from business case development and support closing out commercial alignments to be reflected through contracting and ongoing account management - and will track partner performance against agreed goals.

●You will work closely with colleagues in Partner Engagement, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to translate commercial agreements into successful technical integrations and go-to-market execution.

You will analyze market data and competitive dynamics to identify trends and opportunities, and create compelling market and business analyses for internal leadership and partner-facing conversations.

●You will represent Netflix externally with senior partner stakeholders, and internally as part of the Rest of Asia Business Development and Partnerships team.

The ideal candidate:

Minimum 12 years of experience in Business Development, partnerships, or commercial roles with a technology, telecom, consumer electronics, or media company

●Experience partnering with telecom operators, PayTV/ISPs, consumer electronics manufacturers, or adjacent industries, ideally in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and/or Mainland China

●Proven track record in structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial partnership agreements

●Deep understanding of the streaming video landscape and consumer behavior in Greater China markets

●Ability to work effectively with cross-functional leaders across Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Partner Engineering

●Experience drafting, negotiating, and closing term sheets and contracts

●Strong analytical and business-case skills; able to translate market data into strategy and clear recommendations

●Strong self-organization and prioritization abilities; comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy

●Fluent proficiency in Mandarin and English; Cantonese a plus

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
