Job Responsibilities :

The Senior Localization Specialist is a senior individual contributor responsible for the end to end execution of localization for assigned mobile game titles, features, and languages.
This role executes localization within strategies defined by the Head of Product (e.g. language scope, market priorities, VO investment) and the Localization Manager (e.g. MT usage, quality standards, style guidelines). Within this framework, the Senior Localization Specialist is the primary owner of localization execution and linguistic quality, and plays an active role in driving AI enabled localization improvements and tooling integrations.
This position is designed as a feeder role to Localization Manager, offering growth through increasing project ownership, complexity, and cross functional exposure while remaining hands on.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively explore and apply AIassisted localization approaches to manage content, ensure data integrity, and support scalable localization workflows; including machine translation optimization, AIassisted QA, and refining algorithms for translation memory matches to improve quality, speed, and cost efficiency.

  • Own and execute the full localization workflow for assigned mobile game titles, features, and languages, from planning through translation, linguistic QA, and final delivery.

  • Act as the primary localization owner for assigned projects and languages, with final authority over localization execution, linguistic quality, and readiness within defined strategies.

  • Perform handson linguistic review, editing, and signoff for designated languages, ensuring consistency with established style guides, glossaries, and quality standards.

  • Oversee localization of ingame content, UI, tutorials, live ops events, voiceover scripts, and customerfacing materials such as support, community, and marketing assets.

  • Execute voiceover localization as required, including script localization, vendor coordination, and linguistic review, based on project scope.

  • Manage daytoday localization delivery with predefined vendors and inmarket reviewers, providing feedback and quality control while operating within established budgets and workflows.

  • Work closely with product, development, QA, and CS teams to ensure localization assets are integrated accurately and efficiently into builds, and to triage and resolve localizationrelated issues.

  • Identify executionlevel workflow, tooling, or AI improvement opportunities; propose enhancements and support implementation efforts led by localization leadership.

  • Track and report localization KPIs defined by leadership, including delivery timelines, quality outcomes, MT performance signals, and inmarket feedback.

 Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in game or digital content localization with strong hands on execution responsibility.

  • Proven experience owning localization delivery for multiple languages and live service content.

  • Excellent linguistic judgment with native level proficiency in English and Chinese; Thai, Vietnamese, or Indonesian proficiency is a strong advantage.

  • Solid experience with localization CMS/TMS platforms, particularly Gridly, and familiarity with integrating localization workflows into development pipelines.

  • Strong understanding of mobile game development workflows and build processes.

  • Hands on experience with:

    • Translation memories, terminology management, and linguistic QA

    • Machine translation workflows and MT evaluation

    • AI assisted localization tools or LLM based experimentation (e.g. TM to LLM usage, prompt iteration, AI QA)

  • Ability to assess MT output quality and determine appropriate human review or vendor intervention.

  • Experience coordinating vendors, voice over studios, and external reviewers.

  • Strong analytical mindset with interest in automation, scalability, and AI driven localization efficiency.

  • Clear communicator with strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.

  • Business-level English & Mandarin Chinese; and one other SEA language proficiency is a plus.

  • This role is based in Singapore.
