What you will be responsible for:

  • Install, configure, manage, and maintain Linux servers.
  • Implement system tuning to enhance performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Perform day-to-day operations and maintenance of application systems, including software upgrades and patch management.
  • Monitor system performance, promptly identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and potential issues.
  • Analyze system logs to identify the root cause of issues and develop and implement solutions.
  • Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Write and maintain system administration documentation and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with development teams for application deployment and environment setup.
  • Participate in system architecture design and optimization, providing improvement recommendations.
  • Implement security measures to ensure the safety and security of systems and data.

How you will stand out:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Linux system administration, with extensive experience in system tuning
    and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing common Linux distributions (such as CentOS, Ubuntu, Red
    Hat).
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting; familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Perl is a plus
  • Experience in storage system management, including NetApp, Ceph, and ZFS.
  • Experience with automation tools for system management and deployment (such as Ansible, PXE,
    Kickstart).
  • Familiarity with common system monitoring tools (such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with resource scheduling software (such as Openlava, Slurm).
  • Knowledge of networking and security concepts; relevant certifications (such as RHCE, CCNA) are a
    plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work under pressure.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to propose and implement effective system improvements

    Working Conditions: 

    • Candidates based in Singapore may be required to work staggered hours to support operations aligned with US time zones.
