Founded in November, 1998, Tencent is a leading provider of Internet value added services in China.   • Providing legal advice and support in a wide range of international (ex-China) employment matters including:
  • advising on employment legal and regulatory matters, with opportunities to branch out to cover other areas within the overseas legal center, if interested;
  • providing legal insight from an employment regulatory perspective to help the company identify and evaluate risks associated with new or complex business activities;
  • managing the company's compliance with applicable labor laws by coordinating with relevant internal departments and business units and liaising with external counsel.
Who We Look For
  • At least 5 years PQE (qualified in Hong Kong, Singapore, US, UK or other comparable common law jurisdiction);
  • Employment legal experience in-house or in law firms;
  • Prior regional experience working on related matters in the technology field will be a plus;
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills;
  • Proactive approach and able to handle matters independently;
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate within a team;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and proficient command of Chinese in order to communicate with various stakeholders in headquarters
