Summary of Role / Job Purpose:
The Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer is responsible support and enhance our trading systems environment. The role focuses on maintaining a reliable, secure, and high performance infrastructure that supports real time trading operations. The role includes managing servers, networks, data centers, and monitoring systems to ensure our trading platforms run smoothly with minimal downtime and low latency.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support infrastructure across on premise, co lo data centers, and cloud environments
- Monitor system and network performance, including uptime, latency, and resource usage
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, routing/switching, and connectivity to trading venues and liquidity providers
- Ensure high availability, backup strategies, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness
- Implement and maintain monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Zabbix, ELK, Prometheus)
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, and hardware issues
- Coordinate upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements with minimal service impact
- Work closely with Trading, Engineering, and Risk teams to support trading platform requirements
- Contribute to documentation, security updates, and compliance processes
- And any other duties required by the role
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or network engineering
- Experience in financial services or trading environments is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server & Linux
- Solid networking skills (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, filewalls, load balancers)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)
- Experience with low latency environments, FIX connections, or trading platforms (MT4/MT5) is a plus
