Overview 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interface Technical Engineer to join our team. The Interface Technical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the interface development process, ensuring seamless integration between different systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with expertise in interface design and implementation.

What will you be doing? 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead the interface development process, from requirements gathering to implementation and testing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into interface requirements.
  • Design and document interface specifications, including data mappings, transformation rules, and error handling procedures.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure interfaces are implemented according to specifications and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of interfaces to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues in a timely manner, coordinating with relevant teams as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior interface analysts and developers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in interface design and integration technologies.
  • Participate in project planning and estimation activities, providing input on interface-related tasks and dependencies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on interface development progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

Other qualities that you’ll need to be a fit for this role include: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a BA/Engineer, with a focus on interface design and development.
  • Strong understanding of interface technologies and protocols, such as REST, SOAP, and messaging queues.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and database concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
