The Senior Manager Global Sourcing is responsible for leading a global team of Commodity Leads, to develop and execute Commodity & Procurement strategies that achieve Sciex KPIs by ensuring supply continuity and optimizing Total Cost of Ownership.

This position requires the incumbent to have direct commodity and procurement management, as well as Team leadership, gained in high-technology equipment manufacturing or similar industries.

Able to communicate with all levels of management with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This position requires the incumbent to demonstrate competencies: Collaborative, Competitive, Creative, Reliable and Leadership drive significant impact to the organization.             

This position is based in Woodlands, Singapore reporting to the Director of Global Sourcing and Purchasing and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Create and execute comprehensive strategies and plans for sourcing and managing specific commodities, considering market trends, cost structures, and supplier capabilities.
  • Lead and develop Team of Commodity/Sourcing Managers to meet current and future organization needs
  • Build strong strategic relationships with suppliers to drive innovation and continuous improvement to support Business needs
  • Collaborate with business teams to address issues related to supplier capacity & capabilities, Quality, and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could disrupt a company's supply chain resilience and cost effectiveness.
  • Procurement Performance Monitoring: Regularly update management on the performance of commodity strategies and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and best‑practice adoption.

The essential requirements of the job include :

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant commercial and technical experience in sourcing & commodity management
  • Minimum 5 years of Team Leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Expertise knowledge in mechanical/electrical suppliers, contracts, cost modeling, supply base and manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise knowledge of problem-solving (PSP), critical thinking, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Strong in process mapping and development, as well as data mining and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel 10%~15%
