Full Stack PHP Engineer

SUMMARY:

As a Senior Full Stack PHP engineer, you will focus on enhancing existing projects and developing new features, including building and improving websites and implementing different strategies for existing products and tools based on requirements.

Beyond coding, you'll engage in problem-solving, prototyping, and interacting with stakeholders to define project goals. This role combines the creativity of new development with the stewardship of maintaining large projects, requiring a versatile and proactive approach.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

You will join our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:

• Enhance existing projects and develop new features
• Build and improve websites based on specific needs
• Implement strategic improvements for products
• Engage in problem-solving and prototyping activities
• Interact with stakeholders to clarify and set project objectives
• Handle a variety of tasks including documentation, customer support, and product troubleshooting
• Own and maintain the quality and functionality of products
• Balance creative development with the responsibility of managing large projects
• Adopt a versatile and proactive approach to work

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field
• + 5 years of experience in developing Web applications using PHP and Javascript
• Familiar with HTML/CSS and preprocessors like SCSS & LESS
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns
• Experience using Git for version control
• Knowledgeable in Bash, Linux environments, and SSH
• Experience with Docker for containerization
• Skilled in using Redis for caching
• Well-versed in HTTP protocols and RESTful services
• Proficient in MySQL
• Understand asynchronous data fetching techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Kibana and Grafana
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

AWESOME BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Varnish or HTTP accelerators in general
• Microservices architecture
• Advanced database knowledge
• Working experience with Drupal
• NodeJS
