We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer for one of our most well-established products - Cupid Media.
Your main tasks will be:
- Front-End Development:
Lead the development of robust and user-friendly web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance across various devices and screen sizes. - Architectural Design:
Participate in the architectural design and planning of web applications.
Collaborate with back-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate front-end components seamlessly.
Be able to suggest improvements to existing front end architecture designs.
- Frameworks and Libraries:
Utilise front-end frameworks and libraries to build scalable and maintainable applications.
Understanding of modern architectural patterns used to build modern web applications.
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in front-end development. - Code Reviews and Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices.
Implement and advocate for testing strategies to maintain the reliability of the codebase. - Performance Optimisation:
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal page load times and responsiveness.
Implement techniques to enhance the overall speed and efficiency of web applications. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic. - Leadership and Mentorship:
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior front-end developers.
Share knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment.
Demonstration of thought leadership, by always looking to improve the current implementation.
Work with the CTO and other senior leadership to ensure that ideas are discussed and validated. - Problem Solving:
Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges.
Propose innovative solutions to improve the user experience and application functionality.
We expect from you:
- Excellent skills with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS & HTML5
- Experience with React framework.
- Experience with the tailwindcss framework.
- Experience with security aspects of UI development, including OWASP, CORS policy, etc.
- Experience with Git & GitHub version control tools and processes.
- Experience developing mobile/web applications.
- Experience using debugging tools relevant to the product. The experience and ability to track down problems in products using these tools.
- Experience with bug management software (e.g. JIRA).
