Job Description – APAC IM Regional Office, Senior FP&A Manager
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is an integral part of APAC IM Regional Finance, serving regional leadership (CGC/CFO) needs through financial reporting and analysis. FP&A team oversees total APAC regional financial performance and forecast (P&L and B/S), orchestrating regional financial calendars such as actual reporting, business planning and latest thinking, and provides decision support to management through BVA and risk and opportunity management. You will ensure that the regional finance activities are aligned with global and enterprise standards and will drives continuous improvement of processes by closely working with CEP (Connected Enterprise Planning) and DDTL (Data & Digital Transformation Lead).
In addition to the regular FP&A tasks, you will also be responsible for business partnering for APAC IM Headquarter (APHQ) including entire APSO team (APAC Strategy Organization including Market access, CE, MAF), NBD, C&PA and CQ. You will need to collaborate across APAC markets and work closely with Regional Therapeutic Area (TA) Finance team to achieve regional finance goals & objectives. This role reports to Senior Finance Director of IM Regional Office and manages ~3 team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the business plan/actual/latest thinking forecast submission for APAC region and support budget reviews and analysis and develop country targets
Coordinate and develop regional calendar guidance up to cluster by clarifying global submission requirements
Accountable for the coordination of P&L and B/S planning and deliver Budget vs Actuals analysis. Lead and support FCF review with Group CFO
Ensure regional activity is aligned with global & enterprise standards and identify and implement Best in Class practices to drive operational efficiencies by working closely with CEP/DDTL
Work closely with APHQ Leaders (VPs and Snr Directors) as a finance controller, deeply understand the business needs, support budget planning/prioritization, monitor actuals and drive actions for risks and opportunities in a timely and transparent manner
Conduct key analysis aimed to drive strategic insights for the group and participate in projects as necessary to drive regional analysis/change management to drive region financial health
Lead Quarterly SOX activities and support compliance, company regulations, policies and procedures with the highest standards of financial integrity. Strong collaboration with controllership/compliance team to ensure key controls are in place and monitoring of controls to minimize risk
People Leadership responsibility – develop high performing team through developmental guidance and performance evaluation and ensure team effectiveness and efficient performance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting and CPA/CMA is preferred but not required
A minimum of 7 years of progressive finance business experience
Prior experience working as a Finance Manager providing financial leadership and developing high performing teams
Proven experience in partnering with leaders and influencing at all levels of the organization
Ability to lead teams in a complex environment and develop those individuals to meet the future needs of the business (preferred people management experience)
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills required to successfully work in a global, matrixed team environment
Able to work independently and to adapt to changes in a dynamic business environment
