About the Job:
Babylon Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Associate to play a pivotal role in our financial operations. This position will work closely with the CFO to insource accounting for the Babylon Foundation and its subsidiaries, ensuring the highest standards of financial management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Financial Record Keeping:

Close and maintain accurate and complete accounting records for the Babylon Foundation and its subsidiaries

Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations as well as track and monitor on-chain crypto transactions

Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards

Financial Controls and Compliance:

Design and implement financial controls to mitigate operational and other risks and sufficient segregation of duties

Conduct regular checks and balances to ensure the effectiveness of controls, identify deficiencies and find corrective actions

Process Automation and Optimisation:

Introduce new financial tooling and technology to automate and optimize financial processes

Continuously evaluate and improve financial operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

Financial Operations and Payments:

Support financial operations by managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensuring timely payments for fiat and crypto

Oversee the processing of financial transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide strategic insights to support business decisions.

Work closely with department teams across the Babylon organization to prepare and monitor budgets

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with the CFO to identify areas for financial improvement and implement changes.

Requirements:
-
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, preferably with Big4 background, knowledge of IFRS and accounting ERP (i.e. SAP, Xero, QB)

Skills: Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and processes. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
