Job Description:

Objectives: Lead a team of engineers and technicians that drive and sustain operations capability, quality and efficiency, and keep process / machines / tools up and running and operating to equipment, production and product specifications at optimum overall labor/equipment/facility efficiency.

Core RnR

  • Lead, drive and implement an operational excellence system (automotive grade), aligning with the Singapore III-V Operations Agenda and adopting LEAN, TUTEE and RICE platforms
  • Lead, drive, setup and implement FMEA, Control Plan, SPC control, PCRB, Work Instruction, ISS and FAB compliance towards zero defects
  • Sustain, develop and improve the entire operations indices of shipment, revenue, product cost, gross margin and overall operations efficiency
  • Always deliver good products on time to customers with 100% CLIP
  • Lead, drive and implement a rigorous predictive, preventive and autonomous maintenance system
  • Actively measures and analyzes process UPH, process/machine up-time, capacity and overall process/equipment efficiency
  • Actively improve planning system to have smooth and even loading to ensure optimized utilization of resources
  • Initiate, lead and execute improvement projects that reduce cost of process/equipment/system/materials ownership and process/ equipment/planning performance with the SG team to drive strong margins
  • Responsible for new materials/equipment purchases, installation, and materials/process/equipment buy-off
  • Responsible for quarterly production output for shipment and revenue at optimum cycle time
  • Support qualification in close cooperation with other R&D and engineering supports
  • Develop planning and strategies to ensure production and engineering capabilities supporting robust process and product technology roadmap
  • Develop equipment strategies to ensure equipment capabilities support product technology roadmap
  • Develop planning and strategies to ensure high labor efficiency driving toward high production productivity support
  • Interface and drive with Product Engineering and R&D/NPI teams for new process/product development, roadmap and timeline
  • Interface and collaborate with customers on process/product development and product return
  • Interface with yield teams for process yield improvement strategy and plan
  • Develop production and engineering operation budget
  • Develop process, production, equipment, facility and estates roadmap aligned with Singapore III-V Operation’s Vision
  • Develop planning and strategies that attract, develop and retain good team players/talents
  • Mitigate risk on production/process/yield excursion, production capacity and capability equipment bottleneck
  • Hire, engage, develop and coach subordinates for continual improvement and career development
  • Benchmark the best operations practices with other related industries
  • Develop the next practices moving towards operational excellence
  • Be value add, vocal and visible across and beyond Singapore III-V Operations
  • Be an enabler across organization
  • Be change agent, leading organizational transformations
  • Lead by example on good work disciplines, 5S and 8 Wastes reduction
