Job Position: Senior Engineer/ Engineer– Supplier Quality
Department: Supply Chain Management
Primary Job Purpose:
- Serve as the primary Purchasing supplier quality liaison between Operation and the Supplier
- Perform supplier’s quality problem resolutions and review CAPA.
- Lead in supplier audit and evaluate supplier performance and capability, drive continuous improvement opportunities at the supplier
- Ensure purchased productive parts are approved and production-ready
- Work with buyers to assess and select new and capable suppliers
- Serve as a technical resource to Engineering and SQE
- Assess the purchase productive part suppliers to determine whether the suppliers’ quality system is acceptable, with final approval from an experienced AQE or supervisor
- Approve sourcing decisions from a quality perspective
- Implement, facilitate, and ensure completion of the APQP process with selected suppliers, including final part approval of assigned regional commodities
- Ensure that the suppliers' productive capacity meets divisional requirements
- Provide technical assistance to supplier quality engineers and engineering
- Meet core competency expectations

Formal education and experience
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or Science
- About 5 -8 years of experience in Engineering field preferred
- IATF16949/ISO9001 Certified Internal Auditor preferred
- PC literary. MS Office proficient
- Ability to facilitate most conflict situations and/or appropriately seek immediate supervisor's assistance
- Functions independently with minimal supervision and some technical guidance
- Advanced SPC techniques
- Apply innovation in problem solving. Attention to detail and analytical thinking towards problem solving.
- Responsible for suppliers with medium complex parts and/or suppliers with average quality systems. PCB and PCBA process knowledge preferred
- Proficient in technical print/drawing reading. GD&T knowledge preferred
- Good documentation, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills. Able to interact professionally at all organizational levels
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to facilitate conflict situations with peers independently
- Good Presentation skills
- Required to travel
