Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the reliability, scalability, and performance of our applications and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to optimize our systems, ensuring they are efficient, highly available, and resilient to change. Your expertise will drive continuous improvements, automation, and seamless integration of systems, enhancing our overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters hosting high-traffic web applications.
- Enhance and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD for automated deployments.
- Build and streamline CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable application delivery.
- Oversee the performance and scalability of Amazon DocumentDB and vector databases.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support backend systems built on Node.js and GraphQL.
- Proactively identify and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Contribute to the improvement of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 5+ years in DevOps roles, with deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science preferred but can be waived for exceptional candidates.
Requirements:
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, for scripting and automation.
- CI/CD Expertise: Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
- GitOps Knowledge: Strong familiarity with ArgoCD or similar tools for GitOps workflows.
- Database Management: Experience managing AWS DocumentDB and working with vector databases.
- Web Application Experience: Solid understanding of managing backend systems, especially those built on Node.js and GraphQL.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and resolving infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Cloud Expertise: Advanced knowledge of AWS services, architecture, and cost optimization strategies.
