Get to know the team
The Fulfilment team's mission is to make Grab the platform of choice for Driver Partners by supporting them efficiently on and off the road. Our design team is divided into several empowered teams focused on creating an efficient app experience, ensuring fair and transparent earnings, and maintaining a healthy supply pipeline. We focus on creating solutions that are simple and delightful for our Driver Partners.
Get to know the role
As a Senior Design Manager on the Fulfilment team, you will report to the Head of Design and manage designers and UX writers who work collaboratively across multiple problem spaces. Your team will explore user and our needs to create impactful solutions that support our mission.
If you have a user-centric approach, excel in collaborative environments, and act decisively, the Grab Design team is the place for you. We're looking for design managers who can coach a growing team and help them positively impact how millions of people across Southeast Asia interact with Grab. This role is based in Singapore and is a hybrid role.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will guide design outcomes, contribute to product strategy, and enhance design quality across teams.
- You will manage Product Designers, UX Writers, and UX Researchers working across several problem spaces.
- You will coach and mentor designers in solving complex and novel problems in simple and impactful ways.
- You will ensure design quality and superior user experience.
- You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Analytics, Research, Marketing, and senior leadership to deliver impact.
- You will promote complex thinking in a clear, convincing, and concise manner.
- You will develop and implement effective design processes.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 7+ years of Product Design experience..
- Extensive experience working on cross-functional product teams.
- Exceptional fundamentals in interaction and visual design craft and practice.
- Experience coaching and mentoring others in Product Design.
- Excellent knowledge of mobile and front-end web standards and development.
- Experience with Figma, Protopie, After Effects or other design tooling.
- Proficiency in Service Design, User Research, Front-end Development, Project Management, Accessible Design or Design Systems.
- Provide a portfolio of your recent design work in English, showcasing your contribution and the impact of your projects. We recommend you provide clear context, outline your end-to-end workflow, and demonstrate how you go from problem discovery to launch.
