Grab's Fulfilment-Dispatch Data Science team tackles complex problems related to Grab's allocation capabilities. We ensure our passengers, driver-partners, consumers, and merchants receive a reliable fulfilment experience. Get to Know the Role

As a Senior Data Scientist (Dispatch), you will report into the Senior Data Science Manager and be based onsite in Singapore. You will build models and services that handle millions of requests daily and design scalable dispatch methods that adapt to changing market conditions.

The Critical Tasks You will Perform

• You will develop production-grade models and services that manage millions of requests daily
• You will analyse large volumes of data, create prototypes, and engineer them into production solutions
• You will design data pipelines and conduct experiments to measure your work's impact
• You will translate needs into technical problems and solutions
• You will communicate findings and their implications to business and product stakeholders
• You will improve existing dispatch features

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have at least 3 years of practical work experience at a technology company and have a Master Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics/Statistics, Transportation Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• You are proficiency in machine learning algorithms, model lifecycle, and production deployment
• You understand probability, hypothesis testing, Bayesian statistics, and more
• You have experience running and analysing A/B tests and controlled trials
• You are proficiency with relational databases (SQL), and frameworks such as Spark and Kafka
• You are proficiency in Python; experience in Golang and Scala
• You have knowledge of Git-based source control, code reviews, test-driven development, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
