The Senior Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Data Governance and Analytics team. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise-wide data quality, integrity, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SQL, data validation, and governance frameworks, and will serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and business stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Lead advanced data analysis across Snowflake, Reporting, and other enterprise platforms to identify anomalies, trends, and root causes.
Design and execute robust SQL queries and data profiling routines to support governance, reporting, and remediation efforts.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Reporting Developers, and Business Data Stewards to analyze and document root causes of data issues.
Drive issue resolution forward by creating and managing Jira IT Help Desk tickets when technical fixes are needed; validate completion of remediation efforts and coordinate cloned tickets within the Data Governance board to facilitate end-to-end quality analysis and historical data backfill by the Engineer team.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support governance and reporting improvements.
Participate in testing and validation of data pipelines, Common Data Tables, and Data Dictionary updates.
Maintain clear documentation of findings, system discrepancies, and remediation steps in alignment with governance processes.
Support cross-functional initiatives requiring data analysis and validation of enterprise reporting assets.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or commensurate work experience required
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, dbt) preferred
5 years of experience in data analysis, SQL development, or data governance required
2 years in QA testing, data profiling, or data quality management required
Proven experience with Snowflake, SSRS, and modern BI tools (Power BI, Sigma).
Familiarity with data pipeline testing and ETL validation.
Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases.
Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and data governance frameworks.
Experience with tools such as JIRA, SharePoint, GitHub, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management.
Ability to translate complex data issues into business-friendly narratives.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel required for training and/or project work with external stakeholders and project team members may be required
Periodic after core hours, night and weekend work is required in relation with system testing, upgrade, and implementation activity

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
