Job Description
About Market Insights team
The Regional Market Insights Team plays a pivotal role in influencing Grab’s strategic and operational decisions by offering insights on industry developments and competitive dynamics. We evaluate the landscape through diverse lenses and complement traditional market research and analysis with innovative techniques. Our team comprises individuals from varied backgrounds, each bringing a unique set of experiences and skills to the table. An individual who excels at teamwork, takes initiative, and is able to navigate through ambiguity would thrive in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop metrics and simulation models to sense make competition landscape across various segments of Grab's business
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and generate insights to influence Grab's strategic and operational decisions
- Design and execute data collection and validation processes
- Collaborate with data engineering team to automate data processes
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in a data analytics role
- Proficiency in data querying and wrangling using SQL and Python
- Solid understanding of statistics
- Experience with Airflow and Databricks would be advantageous
- Capable of working effectively within a cross-functional team; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential
- Ability to in clearly convey complex concepts to non-technical team members is crucial
- Clear and logical thinking is fundamental
- Familiarity with the ride-hailing, food delivery, and e-commerce industries would be a plus
