Senior Contract Manufacturing Manager
About Doodle Labs
Doodle Labs is a fast-growing technology company building high-performance wireless communications for the drone and unmanned systems ecosystem. Our technology enables reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity across airborne and mobile robotic platforms operating in complex environments.
We partner directly with leading drone OEMs, robotics companies, and defense organizations to deliver advanced networking solutions that power the next generation of autonomous systems. Our mission is to make connectivity for autonomous machines as reliable and ubiquitous as the internet itself.
About the Role
The Senior Contract Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing Doodle Labs’ relationship with contract manufacturing partners and ensuring reliable, high-quality production output. In this role, you will act as the operational owner of contract manufacturing execution, ensuring production performance, delivery reliability, and cross-functional coordination across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
You will work closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to ensure contract manufacturers consistently deliver products on time, at the expected quality levels, and in alignment with Doodle Labs’ operational standards. This role blends operational leadership, manufacturing oversight, and relationship management within a fast-scaling deep-tech environment.
As Doodle Labs continues to grow, this role may also support onboarding additional contract manufacturers and expanding production capacity across new manufacturing lines.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the operational owner of contract manufacturer (CM) production execution, ensuring build output consistently meets delivery commitments
- Manage the CM relationship as an extension of Doodle Labs’ operations, driving adherence to delivery, quality, and communication standards
- Monitor production progress, work-in-progress (WIP), and manufacturing readiness to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery
- Coordinate with supply chain planning and buying teams to ensure material readiness for production builds
- Identify potential risks to production schedules and coordinate mitigation actions across operations, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing quality teams to track yield performance and identify recurring manufacturing issues
- Ensure accurate reporting of production output, inventory movement, and build performance within ERP systems and internal reporting processes
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration between engineering, R&D, quality, planning, and contract manufacturing teams
- Facilitate communication around engineering change orders (ECOs), build priorities, production schedules, and operational risks
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reporting structures, and communication workflows
- Support evaluation and onboarding of new contract manufacturers as the company expands production capacity
What Success Looks Like
- Contract manufacturers consistently achieve on-time, in-full delivery against production commitments
- Reliable and predictable production output with fewer operational escalations
- Strong partnership with contract manufacturing teams built on accountability and clear communication
- Early identification and resolution of yield or quality issues through effective cross-functional collaboration
- Accurate and timely production reporting across ERP and operational systems
