About the Job
As a Senior Consultant – Data Modeler, you will use your deep data expertise to design, develop, and govern high-quality data models that drive effective data solutions and support enterprise transformation initiatives. You will be responsible for data analysis, data model design, and providing consulting support to business and technical stakeholders, while developing an understanding of organizational data strategies and challenges. Fitting that description, you will also need to be supremely motivated person and able to work in a team where clients become colleagues too.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of complex transformation initiatives within the data portfolio.
- Collaborate with agile, cross-functional teams to develop high-quality products that meet customer needs.
- Gather, analyze, and define business change, functional, and non-functional requirements from various stakeholders, and work with cross-asset IT teams to deliver effective reconciliation solutions.
- Produce and manage analysis and modeling artifacts to support product development.
- Develop a clear understanding of the end-to-end user journey beyond system interactions.
- Provide strong business and technical expertise to support requirements development.
- Design and enhance logical and physical data models in accordance with established standards to meet business and technical requirements.
- Conduct metadata analysis, including defining logical entities, attributes, physical tables, columns, data definitions, and appropriate data types.
- Develop, maintain, and manage data models.
Requirements
Key for this role is there is requirement to have a background in Financial Services or Insurance within one of our core capability areas:

We are also keen to bring on those from a consulting background in other industries that can then apply these perspectives and techniques to our core sectors and capability.
We are looking for exceptional talent with the following:
- 8–12 years of strong experience in data analysis and/or data modeling.
- Solid experience in the financial domain with strong data analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering, elicitation, gap analysis, effort estimation, reviews, database design, data mapping, and the ability to translate high-level business requirements into technical solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, and physical), with the ability to develop and deliver high-quality data models in line with established data governance standards.
- Ability to maintain high-quality metadata and data-related artifacts that are accurate, complete, consistent, reliable, accessible, traceable, and compliant with standards.
- Experience working as an individual contributor with a strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Self-motivated team player with a strong sense of ownership, proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaboration.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and support successful project delivery.
- Technical skills and tools: SQL, MS Office, GCP BigQuery, Erwin, and Visual Paradigm (preferred).
