Senior Compliance Specialist (Corporate Onboarding)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the end-to-end onboarding and ongoing due diligence process for corporate clients. The role focuses on ensuring that all corporate account applications comply with applicable regulations, internal policies, and risk frameworks. The successful candidate will work closely with Compliance, Partner Support, Operations, and Business teams to ensure a seamless and well-controlled onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Retail Account Support
    • Provide support for complex individual onboarding cases when necessary (e.g., high-risk nationalities, offshore clients)
  • Corporate Account Review & Onboarding
    • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new corporate clients, and conduct periodic reviews for existing clients across a wide range of corporate structures:
      • Private limited companies, partnerships, trusts, funds, VCCs, and overseas incorporated entities
      • External Asset Manager (EAM)-assisted and nominee structures
    • Evaluate ownership, business nature, source of wealth/funds, and regulatory risk exposures
    • Conduct name screening, negative news searches, and risk assessments
    • Validate account documents and operational setup for completeness and accuracy
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve deficiencies and ensure timely account approval
  • Policy, Procedures & Regulatory Compliance
    • Support updating and enhancement of onboarding policies, SOPs, and risk assessment frameworks
    • Monitor developments in relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS AML/CFT, FATF, sanctions)
    • Assist in regulatory remediation, audits, and internal control improvements
  • System & Process Enhancement
    • Participate in UAT and workflow improvement initiatives to drive automation and onboarding efficiency
    • Provide feedback to Product and Tech on onboarding controls and potential enhancements
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams and business partners, including Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
    • Contribute to reporting and tracking key onboarding metrics

Requirements

Requirements

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking & Finance, Law or related discipline
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience in corporate onboarding, AML/KYC, compliance, or corporate services
  • Good understanding of:
    • Simple/Complex corporate structures & fund vehicles (including VCC)
    • AML/CFT requirements and MAS regulations
    • AML risk, risk rating, source of funds/ wealth, related parties and PEPs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • English speaking and Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage for handling clients and documents from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
