We are looking for a results-driven Senior Business Development Manager with deep knowledge of the shipping and logistics market to drive new business growth across APAC. This role is central to our expansion into Asia Pacific, including key markets: Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and requires someone who understands how data and technology are transforming ocean and air freight procurement.
We are looking for a hunter and builder with high drive and ownership, who wants to help build our company presence in APAC from the ground-up. 
Location: This role is based in Singapore (remote/hybrid set-up). Candidates must already hold valid work authorization for Singapore, as we are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.
Salary: The base salary range is SGD 90,000–130,000 per year, depending on experience and seniority. Additionally, this role includes a variable commission component, with an on-target earnings (OTE) structure split of 60/40 base vs commission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and expand new business pipeline across APAC and consistently deliver against quarterly pipeline and net revenue targets. 
  • Craft and deliver hyper-personalized outreach and nurture long-term relationships with prospects.  
  • Conduct in-depth research to understand the unique challenges and opportunities of our target accounts. 
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships, delivering tailored, high-value solutions to customers. 
  • Drive adoption of Xeneta's ocean and air freight intelligence platform to modernize how enterprises procure and manage freight. 
  • Build a strong understanding of the Xeneta platform and data, and clearly explain how it helps customers solve specific freight and procurement challenges and achieve measurable business outcomes. 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in sales or business development within Logistics & Supply Chain, freight forwarding, shipping, or adjacent industries, meaning you have obtained solid industry knowledge in ocean/air freight.
  • Experience managing and coordinating Tender/RFQ with Ocean Freight procurement teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and manage a sales pipeline, with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. 
  • Strategic thinking and execution capability — you can identify high-value opportunities, craft compelling outreach, and operate with discipline in high-pressure, target-driven environments. 
  • A builder mentality is a must — comfortable building from the ground up in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting, with clear ownership and accountability. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build rapport across cultures and seniority levels throughout the APAC region. 
  • Fluent in English (required).  
Additionally, we are looking for someone with the ability and willingness for frequent travel across the APAC region. 
It would be considered a bonus if you also have: 
  • Prior experience as Pricing Executive, Tender Support Executive, Tender Manager in Freight Forwarding or Ocean carriers.  
  • Background in marine sensor or offshore service business development. 
  • Strong C-suite network in ocean freight shipping industry. 
  • Fluency in Japanese language (a plus, not a requirement).
