As a Senior Backend Engineer, you are a builder at heart, excited to mentor others, and thrive on delivering solutions that scale.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll architect and build core services that power our Document Processing platform—including document generation, collaboration, redlining, metadata extraction, and digital signatures. These services form the foundation of our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution. You’ll work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and data teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance services that meet the needs of our customers. You’ll also leverage the latest AI tools and platforms such as Claude, Codex, and other cutting-edge AI assistants to enhance development speed, code quality, and innovation.
Design and develop high-performance, scalable microservices using Java
Build robust systems to support dynamic document generation, real-time collaboration, and digital signing
Explore and implement AI-based solutions for automating metadata extraction, redline suggestions, clause comparison, and risk insights
Integrate AI agents with user-facing systems to support autonomous or semi-autonomous document drafting, review, and negotiation workflows
Architect solutions that meet strict compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system specifications and technical requirements
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making processes
Implement robust error handling, monitoring, and automated recovery mechanisms
Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards

What We’re Looking For
Strong expertise in Java and Spring frameworks
Experience building microservices and multi-tenant solutions
Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes and CI/CD
Proven experience delivering scalable APIs and backend services
Bonus Points
Experience building semantic indexing systems using vector databases
Familiarity with digital signature standards and APIs (e.g., DocuSign, Adobe Sign, eIDAS, PKI)

Salary Range
336,000zł - 402,000zł. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
