The Senior Backend Developer will design, develop, and test security processes and internal tools for WeChat, improve system performance, and maintain documentation.
Business UnitWeiXin Group(WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. WXG is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead and other products.What the Role Entails
- Responsible for the design, development and testing of WeChat user security processe
- Responsible for the design, development, and testing of WeChat's internal tools and platforms
- Participate in requirements review, solution formulation, and solution review to meet project requirements
- Keep abreast of best coding practices, writing high quality code and be able to deliver & test system functions
- Responsible for identifying and debugging system issues, and continuously improve existing services to enhance system performance and stability
- Responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation
- A team player with strong communications skills to collaborate with relevant teams on projects
- More than 3 year of work experience in software development. Background in safety, risk control, and audits preferred
- Expertise with full-stack web development on a Node.js framework (Vue.js preferred) with mainstream databases (MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres), caching technology (Redis) and common middleware such as Kafka and MQ
- Development experience in compiled language, backend development using C/C++
- Familiar with commonly used system tools in the Linux environment including troubleshooting problems related to CPU, memory, and network I/O
- Solid programming foundation, follows best practices, and has a sense of responsibility, and passion in computing and state-of-the-art technologies
- Strong logical and critical thinking skills, good communication skills, and ability to understand and convey requirements accurately
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin required to collaborate with stakeholders based in HQ and globally
