Role OverviewWe are seeking a Technology Sourcing Manager (AVP) to support sourcing and vendor management activities across technology categories including software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT professional services.The role will work closely with Technology, Procurement, Risk, Legal, and Business stakeholders to support sourcing initiatives, vendor evaluations, market assessments, and commercial engagements. The successful candidate will contribute to sourcing outcomes through effective stakeholder collaboration, market intelligence, and disciplined sourcing execution.This position is well suited for an individual with technology sourcing or procurement experience who is looking to broaden their exposure across technology domains and strategic sourcing activities within a dynamic technology environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Vendor Management
  • Support the execution of sourcing activities across technology categories including software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and category initiatives.
  • Conduct supplier research and market assessments to support sourcing recommendations.
  • Support vendor rationalisation and optimisation initiatives through data analysis and market benchmarking.
  • Maintain supplier information and contribute to vendor management activities as required.
Requirement Gathering & Vendor Evaluation
  • Partner with Technology and business stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and business objectives.
  • Support the development of sourcing approaches, evaluation criteria, and vendor assessment frameworks.
  • Coordinate sourcing activities including information gathering, supplier engagement, and evaluation exercises.
  • Assist in assessing vendor solutions based on business, technical, commercial, and risk considerations.
Sourcing Execution & Commercial Support
  • Support sourcing events including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and supplier due diligence processes.
  • Prepare sourcing documentation, evaluation materials, business cases, and recommendation papers.
  • Participate in commercial discussions and contract reviews with suppliers.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure sourcing activities progress effectively.
  • Track sourcing milestones and follow up on action items across stakeholders.
Stakeholder Partnerships
  • Build productive working relationships with Technology, Procurement, Finance, Risk, and business teams.
  • Provide support and guidance on sourcing processes and market insights where appropriate.
  • Facilitate coordination between stakeholders to ensure timely completion of sourcing activities.
  • Contribute to discussions and recommendations through structured analysis and data-driven insights.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal procurement, governance, and third-party risk management requirements.
  • Support vendor onboarding, due diligence, and approval processes.
  • Prepare and maintain sourcing documentation required for audit, compliance, and regulatory purposes.
  • Assist in monitoring sourcing risks and escalating issues where necessary.
Market Intelligence & Planning
  • Monitor technology market trends, emerging suppliers, and industry developments.
  • Conduct benchmarking and spend analysis to support sourcing decisions.
  • Support planning for contract renewals, sourcing opportunities, and vendor engagements.
  • Contribute insights on pricing, licensing models, and supplier capabilities.
RequirementsExperience
  • 5–8 years of experience in technology sourcing, procurement, vendor management, consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting sourcing initiatives involving technology products and services.
  • Exposure to technology categories such as software, cloud services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or IT professional services.
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries is advantageous.
Skills & Capabilities
  • Good understanding of sourcing and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to gather, organise, and analyse information to support sourcing decisions.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of vendor engagement processes.
  • Effective stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous and complex environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.
Domain Knowledge
  • Minimum three years of sourcing in a FI environment in a tech category
  • Good understanding of technology platforms, software licensing, cloud services, or IT sourcing considerations.
  • Familiarity with vendor selection, contract management, and supplier engagement processes.
  • Understanding of FI/ banking governance, compliance, and third-party risk considerations is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, ITIL, Cloud certifications, or equivalent are advantageous.
