Summary:

The primary objective of this role is to manage and operate 2K Korea’s social media channels in close, cross-functional collaboration with the 2K Asia marketing team to expand brand reach and ensure global "Big Beats" resonate within the local market.

This position is a high-stakes, execution-oriented position responsible for brand equity and growth of brand awareness for 2K’s AAA blockbuster PC and Console franchises—including NBA 2K, Sid Meier’s Civilization, and Borderlands.

Responsibilities:

Social Media & Community Operation

  • Plan and manage 2K Korea’s social media strategy in line with global and title-specific brand directions, ensuring local relevance.
  • Take ownership of daily operations for 2K Korea’s social channels, including contents creation, community engagement, competitor analysis and reporting
  • Develop and implement a monthly content calendar and actionable steps that aligns with global and title-specific brand directions while maintaining "hyper-local" relevance.
  • Oversee and collaborate with external agencies to implement resource-efficient content updates, events, and amplification strategies

Data-Driven Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze key community engagement metrics, content performance, and social sentiment trends.
  • Identify and explain spikes, downturns, and shifts in player engagement, using both data and experience-driven intuition.
  • Connect key activations (e.g., influencer campaigns, content drops, in-game events) to measurable community responses.

Social Listening & Sentiment Analysis

  • Monitor discussions across gaming forums, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Integrated VOC (Voice of Customer) reporting on player sentiment, emerging trends, and potential risks or opportunities including key social media trend and actionable recommendations.

Marketing Execution Support

  • Provide marketing execution support to the team based on the practice experience of gaming market, online community, PR and influencer market landscape

Key to success in this role:

  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in the marketing, PR and/or Social industry in gaming, contents and entertainment marketing. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a more senior role
  • Exposure in planning and executing Marketing and Communications strategies to meet company objectives
  • Strong operational capacity to directly implement social media strategy, covering content generation and platform management, without extensive external support
  • Outstanding analytical skills in interpreting social data, identifying trends, and linking activations to performance through data-driven insights and industry experience.
  • Understanding of Korean online communities, influencer marketing and content creator partnerships, entertainment cultures (K-pop, webtoons / web novels, etc.)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multiple teams.
  • Experience in direct agency management (client-side) or working within a marketing/PR agency to deliver high-pressure campaigns appreciated.
  • Proficiency in Korean and English (written and spoken)
  • An experience in operating social media platforms appreciated
  • Social mavens and community leaders, a plus.
