Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sale of ABB’s Wiring Accessories and Home Automation within Residential and Commercial & Industrial Buildings (CIB) segment, in line with the industry segment strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities within the assigned segment.
The work model for the role is Hybrid #LI-Hybrid
Electrification Business Area – Smart Buildings Division in Singapore. Main stakeholders include Sales, Channel Partners, System Integrators, Consultants, Specifiers, and Global Product Management teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the assigned segments.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand their needs, promoting their understanding of ABB’s complete product/systems/ services offering, and aligning with them to provide a solution.

  • Performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans, in case of any potential order shortfalls.

  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals, by using effective sales techniques.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly skilled in and enjoy working with residential and building‑segment development frameworks using them to shape market strategy, customer value propositions, long term growth initiatives, channel enablement, and long‑term portfolio positioning.

  • You have minimum 5 years of experience in segment development, business development, or commercial strategy within the residential and building technologies sector, with a strong track record of driving adoption and market penetration especially for Wiring accessories and Low Voltage Portfolios.

  • You are passionate about customer‑centric innovation, stakeholder engagement and innovative around problem‑solving, strategic thinking, cross‑functional collaboration and consistently bringing structure, creativity, and commercial insight to complex business challenges.

  • You hold a degree in Business Administration or Engineering backed by extensive knowledge of the residential and building sector, or proven experience designing and executing commercial development plans within this industry.
