Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking Security Specialist, reporting to the Director of Facilities, EHS, IT and Security and Fire Protection, working out of the Winnipeg, MB office.
The Security Specialist supports the Security and Fire Protection Team by maintaining physical security standards, responding to emergencies, managing badging and access control, performing related administrative duties, updating security and property-protection policies and procedures, and delivering training to employees and service providers
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The Security Specialist supports the Security and Fire Protection Team by maintaining physical security standards, responding to emergencies, managing badging and access control, performing related administrative duties, updating security and property-protection policies and procedures, and delivering training to employees and service providers
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides protection and safety of people and assets by controlling access to company property, inspecting vehicles, responding to emergencies, and resolving conflicts.
- Produces, issues, and verifies identification credentials to ensure persons on company property are authorized and to support export compliance.
- Maintains and enters required records, databases, and logs in provided data management systems in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Responds to emergency incidents and follows direction to assist in mitigating hazardous situations.
- Collects data from various sources and generates draft investigative and incident reports, including Uniform Security Incident Reports (USIR).
- Advises internal and external customers on information protection processes and programs and protects classified and company-sensitive information and material.
- Improves customer service by ensuring company and contract requirements are met.
- Assists in delivering assigned training, adhering strictly to provided material.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in security and property protection
- Must be able to obtain a Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program security assessment
- Must be able to work up to 10% of shift (evenings or midnights)
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Accredited Security Management Certificate or designation (eg. ASIS PSP, CPP or CPO)
- Experience with badging and access control
- Experience working in security and/or emergency preparedness in manufacturing environment
- Experience with incident command, fire protection/prevention and/or investigations is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Visio, access control systems, databases, and CCTV.
