Role Summary:

The Sales Support Representative is the primary point of contact for the customer and collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other departments to respond to customer inquiries. The position works with the Sales leadership team in driving key initiatives and helping the Flowserve to achieve its goals and maximize sales bookings and opportunity pipelines.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Receive direct inquiries for FCD spare parts from end users and translate those into complete and clean orders.
  • Utilize training on FCD products and quote tools to provide requested spare parts lists, consolidated spare parts, technical drawings, etc. based on the customer’s requests.
  • Participate in customer meetings or visits as necessary for the purpose of understanding the customer’s needs.
  • Track all requests through the proper CLM system and provide metric data as needed to management.
  • Manage orders through engineering, purchasing, supply chain, production planning, and manufacturing processes as they relate to order delivery. 
  • Verify component availability and when necessary, work with supply chain to preorder long lead items to meet customer delivery. 
  • Track orders through entire process and communicate with customer on status of the order.
  • Implement customer change orders as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with representatives and customers.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the appropriate sales team members.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out responsibilities with a minimum of supervision and guidance.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Industry experience related to valves
  • Experience in pricing, contract review and ERP administration
  • Experience with customer relationship management
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages and other commercial requirements
  • BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3 - 4 years relevant experiences
